Who I am

I'm from Iraq, Baghdad.
I speak Arabic, I can't read or write it, but I am taking a class and learning to read Arabic.
I'm 16 years old, born June 30th, 1992.
I live with my 5 sisters and 3 brothers and my mother, i have a BIG family.
I live in America now, I been in America for about 10 years.
I came here, in America, when I was 7 years old.
I don't remember much, but i do remember not understanding what people said when they spoke to me English.
It was hard, because not knowing what they said kinda got me mad.
I still live in America, and its nothing like in Syria, because the clothes are different, the stores, people, shoes, and the schools.
America is different and Syria is also different.

Dating

Every country is different in dating. How does
dating in your country work?

There are some different ways to get a
date or get married. Every country is different, like in America you date, but in
Syria you don't. You get married.

In America, a guy asks you out or
the girl does, but in Syria. If a guy's interested in you, he'll have to ask you
for your hand in marriage. If you accept, you will see the guy and get to know
him more, but you can't kiss, just hold hands. If you got to know the guy
better, you have an engagement party. If you deny, then you deny. If the
girl is interested in a guy, she'll tell her mom and her mom will tell him. In
America, you date and if the guy wants to move up a step, he'll take you to a
fancy place and get down on one knee and propose to you.

There is
always someone who wants to date you or get married, but they haven't,
because...

1. They are afraid that you might deny them
or
2.
They are ashamed of what their family or friends might say.

Every
guy and girl is different, no one's the same in any way.

They do
different things on their date or honeymoon.

Every girl has her own
dream date or romantic honeymoon.

A romantic dates would be, lights
off, candles around and slow music, or going to the beach, with a picnic
basket and watching the dolphins jump as the sun sets.

Every country might be different in dates or marriages, as every country speaks
differently. People have different ideas of dating and different plans for a
wedding. How does dating or marriage work in your country? Do you like it?
